When you have the vet and Triple-A at your doorstep at the same time, it might seem to anyone else that it is not a particularly good day. And I must admit, at the time things didn’t seem all that bright to me either. But it was with the amazement of one tool that I could look beyond everything that was going on and do whatever I would take to deal with this change with ease. That is why I wanted to share it with you all and it is called: “What is right about this that I am not getting?”
It all started on a Monday morning is something that you could call a rainy season. One of my horses had colic (a severe bellyache for the not horse knowers among us) and on top of that, he was completely overcome by the cold. While wrapping him in warm blankets I started to ask questions about what was going on. I called the vet and a scary few hours later, we knew he was going to make it.
In the meantime, while waiting for the vet the arrive, I wanted to get something warm to eat. Either that or join my horse in being overcome by the cold, but my car did not want to go back or forth. So I was stuck there on my own in the middle of nowhere. This is when I started to ask a question: What is right about this that I am not getting?
By simply asking this question you step out of the wrongness of it all. Before that, I judged everything on it being wrong. But there are always to sides to every story, including this one. When you are willing to look beyond what is going on at that time, you might see the possibilities that arise from any occasion. And so did I. All of this was simply a change in energy.
What is right about it that I am not getting? I led me back to one of my personal strengths, namely my receiving and communication with my horses. New doors have opened since that day. I came back to a state of mind that I had not been in for a really long time. A place of connection and the willingness to show up for them and in my life. And this is growing stronger ever since that day. As are my relationship with all my animals. A new base has formed.
Sometimes things just need to happen in order for them to change. Never go into the wrongness of something when you have the choice of using this tool. I dare you to use it in your life and step out of the wrongness. What is right about you and your life that you are not getting?
A great book to help you on your journey is this: Being you changing the World by Dr. Dain Heer. It has been so helpful to me and showed me how to get out of the wrongness of me.
